Michael Ballweg (46) and his followers have been taking to the streets for months, raising their spirits against the Corona measures. In Austria, Germany and Switzerland, Ballweg is celebrated by many as the initiator of these skeptical demonstrations.
Now the leader announces a break. In a video message on Christmas Eve, he asked people not to participate in the upcoming demonstrations in Berlin.
“Comply with the ban!”
The government of the German capital recently banned several major demonstrations, including one of the side thinkers on December 30. The reason for this is the increasing number of virus infections.
Until now, the skeptics movement had shown little interest in the number of cases. Several of their demonstrations broke up because no one was wearing a mask.
Ballweg now takes a different tone: “Stick to the ban, call on his followers. And: “I will not announce any more demonstrations until further notice.”
Recommend that all other lateral thinkers do the same for now. “So the state government has the burden of proving that without lateral thinking, the number of infections will decrease rapidly.”
Have someone else organize demos
But where did the U-turn come from? They want to gather strength for spring, Ballweg said. Apparently, the role of the leader is slowly growing over his head: In the video message, he asks his followers to form an organization to organize demonstrations of lateral thinkers in the future.
The German scene of the Crown skeptics is closely linked to the Swiss “resistance” movement. Swiss unconventional thinkers announced a demonstration on January 2 at the Bundesplatz. (ha)
