  • Once the UK and France have agreed on entry conditions, the trucks can continue, provided the drivers have tested negative for the corona virus.

  • For days, thousands of trucks were stuck in southeastern England as France closed the border with Great Britain.

UK Transport Secretary Grant Shapps tweeted that the delays would continue despite the resumption of traffic. Drivers must absolutely follow directions to get traffic moving.

France has now sent firefighters and 10,000 corona tests across the English Channel. 15 members of the fire brigade and 10 civil defense volunteers are helping to test truck drivers in the southeastern English port city, announced the prefecture of the Hauts-de-France region in northern France.

France closed its border after the UK discovered a new, possibly even more contagious, variant of the coronavirus.
