It was shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday night when three young men from the region were driving in a blue VW Golf down Egliswilerstrasse in the direction of Seon. After entering the village, the driver lost control of his vehicle in a right turn and crashed head-on into the wall of a house, as the Aargau canton police wrote in a message.

The driver (according to “Blick” a Swiss) and his two passengers (a Swiss and a Kosovar), all between 17 and 18 years old, were injured in the accident and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. The wall of the house was broken and badly damaged by the impact. There was also significant material damage to the vehicle, according to the cantonal police. It is not clear how the accident could have occurred. The route had to be closed for about four hours.

For the residents of the house on Egliswilerstrasse, this is not the first time such an incident has occurred. The facade of the house had to be renovated once. Cantonal police wrote on November 20, 2006 that the car crashed into the wall of the house. The accident happened on a Monday afternoon. The 74-year-old driver also missed the right turn and collided with the wall of the house. The ambulance team could only determine the man’s death. A medical problem on the part of the driver of the vehicle was indicated as the cause of the accident.
