Apple wants an autonomous car by 2024: “Like the first time you saw an iPhone”

According to experts, the Apple group is aiming for the introduction of an autonomous passenger car in 2024, which could contain a breakthrough in battery technology. The development of our own car, which started in 2014 as part of “Project Titan”, is consequently well advanced.

This said on Monday (local time) two people familiar with the matter to the Reuters news agency. A central element is the newly developed batteries.that could lead to significantly lower costs with a higher range, another person said. “It’s like the first time you’ve seen an iPhone,” he said of the new battery. The US group declined to comment on the information.

According to the first two informants, the car parts are likely to come from suppliers. This includes the lidar sensors the car uses to get a sense of its surroundings. It is not clear who will be responsible for assembling the vehicle.

According to one person, the batteries will be built according to a unique “single cell” design. Individual battery cells would be strengthened and available space increased. In addition, Apple is examining the use of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology, with which the risk of overheating is significantly lower than with other lithium-ion batteries.

How the battery will be charged is already clear to the user:

American historian Barbara Tuchman once wrote a bestseller: “The Madness of Those in Power.” Had he known our hockey, current events would have become a central part of his book.

The National League was, or will be one more year, one of the best leagues in the world. The largest number of spectators after the NHL, sportingly number three behind the North American NHL and the Great Russian Federation KHL and even more balanced.

Now the “reforms” are …
