The picture of the October 29 horror in Bottighofen has been a little sharper since Tuesday. Thurgau Canton Prosecutor Announces New Findings. The 54-year-old suspect confessed to shooting the 62-year-old woman, who has since disappeared. Media spokesperson Marco Breu says:

“The defendant admitted that she shot the victim and divided and disposed of the body.”

The alleged perpetrator apparently deposited the severed head on the same day at the edge of the forest in Egnach, where it was found by a passerby on 5 December. According to her own statements, the woman “packed the rest of the remains” in sacks and disposed of them with the garbage, as Breu continues.

The prosecution describes it as “a thesis” that the dismemberment of the corpse, as well as the murder itself, took place in the residential building on Hauptstrasse in Bottighofen. “For this reason, the laundry room and the basement of the house are sealed for forensics.”

However, the prosecution is reluctant to pass on the information that comes from the suspect, especially regarding motive. The media recently speculated about the victim’s rental debts to his landlady and now the alleged killer, both living in the same house in Bottighofen.

A forensic-psychiatric report is prepared

The defendant made statements about the motivation for her act, according to the prosecutor. But: “The defendant will create a forensic-psychiatric report,” says Breu.

“That’s why we don’t get carried away in this regard.”

The report will provide information on the defendant’s guilt, motives, and illnesses. It will take several months for such a situation to be available. The 54-year-old Ukrainian of Liechtenstein nationality has no relevant criminal record.

Gunshot wound to the head, possible insured murder weapon

During the search of the defendant’s house, the police found and seized a firearm. “The gauge is correct,” says Breu. You could say that, because the head found had a gunshot wound. However, it has not yet been fully clarified if it is the murder weapon.

Strollers should not be afraid of tripping over body parts

The gruesome question still remains, where did the rest of the wreckage go? Breu says:

“We assume that these have been disposed of and incinerated for a long time.”

The Public Ministry has no further information on the whereabouts of the body and is based on the statements of the accused in this matter. It is also about the fact that strollers should not be afraid of tripping over other body parts in the forest.

No references to helpers or participants

The police and the prosecutor are busy reconstructing the course of events.

“So far there is no evidence that third parties have been involved, neither in the act nor in the disposition of the remains.”

It is currently alleged that, following the murder, the defendant drove her victim’s car to the “Vita Parcours” car park in Scherzingen and parked it there. The stranger who took the alleged perpetrator from there has not yet reported.
