- Zug wins at home against HC Lugano thanks to a strong 5: 2 middle third and is the new leader of the National League.
- Lausanne struggled to beat the Lakers 5: 3 at home and is one point behind Zug in second place.
- Biel wins at Davos 5: 4 after extra time despite being twice behind.
Zug – Lugano 5: 2
The match between Zug and Lugano could take place a month late: the blocked St. Gotthard tunnel prevented Ticino from arriving on 20 November. Lugano were the best team in the first third and were deservedly ahead thanks to Tim Heed in the double majority (9th minute). But the home team drew before the siren thanks to Santeri Alatalo (17th). His shot found its way into the goal through Heed’s back.
That seemed to give EVZ a boost, because in the middle third, the home team didn’t give Ticino a chance. After just 40 seconds, Grégory Hofmann scored to tie after a great individual performance. Shortly after the middle of the game, Carl Klingberg and Raphael Diaz set the course for victory with a double strike in 23 seconds. Giovanni Morini’s 2: 4 (45th) was answered by Hofmann 5 minutes before the end with his second goal of the night. Zug won 10 of the last 13 games, scored eight times in a row and took the lead again after 34 days.
Lausanne – Rapperswil-Jona Lakers 5: 3
Lausanne remains on the neck of the new Leader Zug. Following a 5-3 home win in the season opener with Rapperswil-Jona, the Vaudois are just one point behind Central Switzerland. Success over the recently victorious Lakers was hard to come by.
The people of St. Gallen knew how to compensate for any setback immediately. Lausanne 3-2 in the first minute of the last third, which Igor Jelovac equalized (45th). Then came the great performance of Charles Hudon: the Canadian brought the Vaudois with a supposed double strike (49th / 51st) 5: 3. Probably because the second goal was denied for offside in the goal area. The final offensive of the guests was unsuccessful, Denis Malgin scored the empty goal in the last minute.
Davos – Biel 4: 5 nV
In a mixed game, the home team led 2-1 in the 20th minute thanks to a double from Perttu Lindgren. Samuel Guerra increased to 3: 1 in the 29th minute before the guests responded vehemently. Just 17 seconds later it was 2: 3 – Konstatin Komarek pushed the puck over the line. Less than 2 minutes after the goal, Toni Rajala leveled after a good attack from Biel.
Then there was no impact for more than 20 minutes before he went crazy again. Aaron Palushaj made the 4: 3 in favor of the home team 9 minutes before the end with wonderful individual action, shortly after Enzo Corvi should have shot the 5: 3. And so it happened as it had to come. Luca Cunti tied 5 minutes before the end, after 107 seconds in extra time Janis Moser scored the victory for Biel.
