The new stock company of the National League has decided that there will be no relegation in the 2021/22 season due to the corona pandemic.

The intention is also to introduce “financial fair play” and to increase “moderately” the number of foreigners. There are currently 4 foreigners per team in the National League. At the same time, more than 30 players have “Swiss license” status. The “moderate” increase should mean at least 8 to 10 foreigners per club.
In the event of an increase in the quota of foreigners, all Swiss licensed would be considered foreigners.
