(zim) Late on Saturday night, the Nidwalden canton police received a report around 11.30pm that a residential building in Ennetmoos, Tal, had caught fire. When the emergency services arrived, three people present in the house had already been able to leave independently.

A resident of the house had to be evacuated by firefighters, as the Nidwalden canton police announced on Sunday. She was hospitalized with suspected smoke poisoning.

The fire department was able to control the fire and extinguish it with around 70 emergency services. The listed building suffered material damage amounting to several 100,000 francs.
