Most Swiss avoid corona vaccination. In a representative survey, 57 percent of respondents said they would not or would not be vaccinated. Only 35 percent wanted to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
The survey was carried out by the opinion research institute “Marketagent.com Switzerland”. To do this, between December 4 and 14, a thousand people between 14 and 74 years old were surveyed in German and French-speaking Switzerland.
Skepticism especially about the corona vaccine
A clear majority assume that the vaccine offers protection (62 percent) and will also be safe (57 percent). 63 percent are also confident that the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) will make the right decisions when it comes to providing a vaccine.
However, a majority (57 percent) do not want to get vaccinated as soon as possible. One reason: many are particularly skeptical about the corona vaccine, says Martina Staub of Marketagent.com Switzerland in the message.
The majority (53 percent) affirm the statement: “I am in favor of vaccines in principle, but in the case of Corona I would not vaccinate because we have very little experience with this vaccine.” Women answered affirmatively much more often than men. (SDA / hac)
