Lots of chances, no goals: St. Gallen and Basel can’t benefit from YB’s slip

FC Basel and St. Gallen parted ways 0-0 after a nice Super League match in which several goals could have been scored.

That is how it remains: in the Super League duels between Basel and St. Gallen, the respective host cannot win. For the twelfth time in a row, a match between FCB and FCSG ended in a draw or victory for the visiting team. In these twelve games, St. Gallen won four away victories and Basel five. Three games, including the current one, ended in a draw.

The Basel team was able to develop much better than in the recent 2-0 loss to YB. But even the eastern Swiss could do a lot on offense. This is how a pleasant game developed that did not deserve 0-0.

Several chances from both sides were also the result of mistakes. Yannis Letard was an obvious weak point in the St. Gallen defense. The young Frenchman, representing Leonidas Stergiou, who was in quarantine, made several mistakes that opened up good opportunities for the Basilians.

Basel’s left-back Raoul Petretta suffered a neck injury from a header towards the end of the first half. He was treated for about ten minutes and then taken to the hospital. Petretta was reportedly conscious and accessible the entire time.

“Arena” allows the nursing supervisor to express his opinion: it runs down his spine

In the last “arena” of the year, invited politicians and experts became extras for once. Because an interview with the head of the intensive care units at Aarau Cantonal Hospital caught you.

For several years now, Watson has been looking at the SRF “arena” on Friday night to assess, summarize and classify the political duel. This year it was the same topic more than 20 times. You have the feeling that you have spoken about the corona pandemic two and three times from all sides. The expectations for yesterday’s broadcast also coincided: the Federal Council has decided – what does the left mean, what does the right mean, what does the affected mean?

The latest SRF “arena” of 2020 …
