Steffi Graf benefits from the fact that she is tutored by her brother. He had to go to court in Las Vegas against the 49-year-old. Because Michael Graf no longer wants to be sponsored by his sister.
The decision of the sad case Graf versus Graf, only those involved know it. Because Steffi absolutely wanted to prevent the family’s dirty clothes from being washed in public and requested that all documents with the details of the hearing be sealed. Judge William Potter granted his motion.
How it all started
The family dispute with the docket number G-20-053792-A began on August 23, 2020. Michael Graf was arrested by Las Vegas police for “serious property damage and search of a motor vehicle.” According to a police report, the divorced father, who has three daughters, including successful model Talia (21) and a son with his former American wife Elaine, threatened to kill an acquaintance. He then threw himself on Richard Taylor’s American sled (Lincoln Blackwood, built in 2002) with a hammer and smashed the windows. Damage: $ 5,000. Graf was released on bail.
Two weeks later, Taylor’s ex-wife alerted the police. Because Graf had appeared in front of his house and started to riot. When the police arrived, Steffi’s two-year-old brother’s anger had not yet subsided. The officers had to overpower him with rubber bullets and an electric shock device. Michael Graf ended up in the hospital.
Brother declared of legal age
When he was due to appear in court for his first arrest on September 22, he did not appear. The criminal court issued an arrest warrant for violating the conditions of the bond. Steffi intervened. To save Michael from pretrial detention, the 51-year-old requested that her brother be declared a minor and take over guardianship for him. The court granted the request.
Michael was obviously not grateful to his sister for that. He filed an objection. Michael’s son Torren (25) volunteered to continue the guardianship in place of his aunt.
Actually, brother and sister should have sat across from each other in the courtroom. But thanks to Corona, all Nevada courts are closed and negotiations are only conducted via video conference. The court took until Friday to publish a dossier on the case. But there were no details. Only information that the court’s decision “due to a request from one side to seal all attachments and evidence” will be withheld from the public.
