Club confirmed – Dzemaili returns to FCZ – Sport

After 13 years abroad, Blerim Dzemaili returns to the Super League. After the 69-time Swiss international fueled rumors of a return to FC Zurich on Friday afternoon, the club confirmed it in the evening.

Dzemaili will sign a contract with the city of Zurich until 2022.

Dzemaili played his last game for FCZ on April 9, 2007 in a 1-0 draw against Basel. The move abroad continued in the summer of the same year. After a season in England with Bolton, the midfielder moved to Italy (Torino, Parma, Napoli). With Naples, Dzemaili twice won the Italian Cup.

After a season in Turkey with Galatasaray, the Swiss returned to Italy in 2015, where he played for Genoa and Bologna. Later, Dzemaili also made his mark in the North American MLS. Most recently, he was under contract with Shenzhen in China. Dzemaili had no club since the end of October.
