  • Thanks to goals from Raphaël Guerreiro and Marco Reus, Dortmund celebrate a 2-1 win in Bremen.
  • In Tuesday afternoon’s game, Frankfurt and Gladbach split spectacularly 3: 3.
  • On Wednesday, among others, the still undefeated Wolfsburg will play for Bayern Munich.

The new brooms also sweep well in Dortmund, or in Bremen. In the away game at Weser, BVB scored a 2-1 victory in the first game after coach Lucien Favre was sent off. The departure of new coach Edin Terzic has thus been a success in terms of results.

The great Dortmund gala was not (yet) under Terzic. Despite an early lead from Raphaël Guerreiro (12th), it was a tremendous game for BVB. After an error by Manuel Akanji, Kevin Möhwald equalized with a shot too placed for goalkeeper Roman Bürki to make it 1-1.

It stayed that way until the final phase. Then Werder’s strong goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka made Akanji go crazy in the penalty area: Penalty. Veteran Marco Reus stepped up and missed due to Pavlenka. Reus hit the margin. Dortmund was 2-1.

Union gives hands victory

The duel between the surprise teams Stuttgart (7th) and Union Berlin (6th) ended 2-2. The result should feel like a loss to coach Urs Fischer’s Unioners. The visitors took the lead 2-0 until the 85th minute, before the Austrian Sasa Kalajdzic, who had just been substituted, saved Stuttgart from the tie with a double (85/90).

After all, Union is still 5 points ahead of its city rivals Hertha Berlin. The “old lady” and Mainz 05 were separated 0-0 in a tired kick at the Olympic Stadium.
