The numbers at the university hospital speak for themselves. Covid-19 can also greatly affect younger patients. Every fifth corona patient treated in the intensive care unit is not even 50 years old, and every sixth is between 50 and 59 years old. André Zemp, director of the Triemli and Waid city hospitals in Zurich, says: “People like you and me come to the intensive care unit.”
Covid patients stay in the intensive care unit longer on average than others. Some have been with us for more than 50 days. “
