This is based on their representative survey on the 2020 Christmas bonus, which was released on Tuesday. The bosses justify the omission of the feed, especially with poor business performance and Corona.
Savings are made with average income
The details: At the end of November, 67.9 percent of this income group said their boss would not pay them a bonus this year (up 3.4 percentage points compared to 2019). And only 23.3 percent knew they were receiving a voluntary additional payment, Comparis reports. Last year, a total of 35.5 percent of the median income received a bonus.
The explanation: “For people with high incomes, the bonus is usually a fixed part of the salary. Unlike those of low and middle income. In times of crisis, the red pencil is applied more quickly here, ”says Comparis expert Michael Kuhn.
According to Kuhn, more than a third of all employees typically receive a bonus from their employer in addition to their salary in the form of a fourteenth month’s salary or a bonus.
Spending on Christmas gifts is increasing
