Not many people have the honor of having a medal around the neck of the president of the United States, Donald Trump (74). One of these lucky people is fighter Dan Gable (72): he received the Medal of Peace, one of the highest honors for civilians.
As CNN writes, the award ceremony took place Monday in the Oval Office in Washington DC. However, several surprising twists and turns during the ceremony sparked an argument.
“No one has done more to promote wrestling in America than Dan Gable. He is probably the best fighter that ever lived, “Trump said at the ceremony. The president then presented the medal to Gable. Then he spoke: “Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to receive the highest honor a civilian can obtain.
“I won two fights in politics”
But it wasn’t just these accomplishments that Trump praised at the awards ceremony: He also gave himself a proper pat on the shoulder: “Dan Gable won about 117 fights in a row and only lost once. I’ve won two fights in politics, so I’m 2-0, and that’s pretty good too. But we will see how that ends. ”Once again, the president alluded to the alleged electoral fraud.
But then all of a sudden, Trump leaves the ceremony, although it was not over yet. No one really knew why the president was doing this. The people present remained puzzled and speechless. The fighter had no choice but to shrug. Obviously confused. “Gone,” Gable said simply. (my I)
