the BAG reports 9,809 cases for the weekend. That’s 1027 more than the previous weekend and it means a turnaround in Switzerland: the number of corona cases is increasing again compared to the previous week.
Which cantons are driving the pandemic?
The curve of the Swiss crown has been going down since November 9; It has been exactly four weeks since Monday’s numbers announced a first flattening in the second wave. With a delay of about ten days, the additional measures taken by the Federal Council had an impact throughout the country. The drivers of the second wave at that time were the cantons of western Switzerland, especially Friborg, Geneva, Vaud and Valais.
