The Migros “All Stars” marble campaign runs from November 3, 2020. The campaign lasts until Christmas Eve and means that each customer receives a marble for every CHF 20 purchase.
But what has now caused anger among many customers, was the special campaign on Saturday, December 5, where you could only get certain special marbles that day. As a result, several customers made purchases for several hundred Swiss francs that day. Like Steinbacher Rahel Hochuli, who bought for 300 francs and still only received one of the coveted marbles, as she recounted in “20 Minuten” next door.
The Migros cashier justified it by saying that there were not enough marbles in stock. Rahel Hochuli finds this a bottomless cheek, as she told “20 Minuten”: “If they say I get a marble for every 20 francs, and in the end I am left alone with one, that is close to a fraud for me.”
Migros’s campaign has also been heavily criticized on Twitter. Many customers would have made extra-large purchases that day to receive as many specialty marbles as possible.
@migros Big marble disappointment with our 3.5 year old. 🥺 For once, my husband jumped into the hustle and bustle (probably many people had the same in mind) and just bought 1 special marble for his purchase. 😢 #murmelfan

@migros With today’s special marbles, isn’t it true that I get one for every 20.-? I understand it this way, instead of today’s special orange. Not well? For my purchase over 100.- I only received 1 bag of special rest orange. Thanks for the clarification! #marmelmania

Migros apologizes for the action
When asked about “20 Minuten”, Migros spokesperson Marcel Schlatter wrote: “Migros was just shocked by the demand. The specialty marbles went like hot Weggli, and so we just didn’t have enough of them. “
And understand the annoyance of customers. But they also don’t want customers to have to leave empty-handed. Those who have not received any of the special marbles can send their receipts by email.
“Migros strives to provide an equivalent replacement. We are doing everything we can to process this as quickly as possible, “Schlatter told” 20 Minuten. “
On December 23 there should be another chance to receive special marbles.
