These measures apply now – watch

Before the holidays, the Federal Council re-tightened the screw to reduce the number of corona cases. These are the measures you have decided:

• Fewer people in stores: Starting next Wednesday, December 9, the number of people who can be in a store at the same time will be reduced. In larger stores, not only 4, but 10 square meters must be reserved per customer, that is, the number of approved customers will be reduced by more than half.
• New rules for restaurants: All restaurants must collect contact information for one guest per table. The Federal Council urgently recommends limiting private and restaurant meetings to two households to keep the number of contacts as low as possible.
  Curfew: The curfew is kept at 11 p.m. Only on New Years Eve, it exceptionally extends until 1 a.m.
• Singing ban: Singing is prohibited outside the family circle and compulsory schools, both outdoors and indoors. The prohibition includes not only choirs, but also singing together at religious services and in certain New Year’s Eve customs that are associated with singing.
• Home office recommendation: The Federal Council once again asks employers to enable the home office if possible. But it does not express a duty.
• Ski areas need a permit: The Federal Council does not want to prohibit the Swiss from skiing. However, as of December 22, ski areas require canton approval. The prerequisite is that the epidemiological situation allows it and that sufficient capacities are ensured in hospitals for contact tracing and testing.
• Gondola restrictions: There are no capacity limits for the slopes. As of December 9, only two-thirds of the seats can be filled in all closed modes of transport, such as trains, cabins and gondolas. This applies to seating and standing space.
• Mask requirement at the ski lift: A mask is required on all chairlifts, including chairlifts and chairlifts. When queuing, a mask must be worn and distance must be maintained.
• Track pubs: Restaurants in ski areas can only let customers in if a table is available for them. The current regulations also continue to apply indoors and on terraces: Consumption is only seated and a maximum of four people per table, except for parents with children.
