There are currently around 5,525 confirmed corona cases in Graubünden, 102 more than the day before. There are 1,076 people in quarantine and 734 in isolation. The canton of Graubünden has taken new measures to ensure that these numbers fall again and contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

As indicated in the “Kantonsamtsblatt”, the following measures apply from today Friday, December 4, 2020 at 11 pm until Friday, December 18, 2020 at midnight or for schools until Wednesday, December 23, 2020 ( school closes):

Assemblies and meetings:

  • Meetings and gatherings of more than ten people in public and private spaces are prohibited. This applies in particular to squares, walks, sidewalks, walking paths, and parks.

Events:

  • Events and activities with more than ten people in public and private spaces are prohibited. The limitation does not apply to political events, gatherings and the like specified by law. The health department may approve more exceptions, especially if there is an overriding public interest.
  • Religious services and funerals can be performed with a maximum of 50 people in strict compliance with the rules of social distance and hygiene as well as in compliance with protective concepts.

Catering companies, including those found in ski areas, including cafes, restaurants, pubs, brasseries, bars (including those that are part of a bakery, gas station, train station, hotel or campsite) are closed, subject to the following exceptions :

  • delivery and distribution of food at home until 10 pm
  • Marketsfor which on-site consumption is prohibited
  • To carry out at the counter (with a distance of 1.5 meters between people) until 10 pm

Entertainment and leisure places:

  • Is closed Cinemas, theaters, museums, galleries, libraries and media libraries, sports and fitness centers, with the exception of school sports halls, including climbing halls, ice sports facilities, athletic and similar stadiums, wellness centers , swimming pools and public baths, bowling alleys, club operations, concert halls and other identical or similar venues. Exceptions are hotel wellness facilities for hotel guests, as well as outdoor leisure facilities such as ice fields, pump tracks and the like, provided that the necessary protective measures can be observed.

Sports:

  • Events, Activities and meetings of more than 10 people in public and private spaces are prohibited.
  • Contact sport (Soccer, basketball, ice hockey, martial arts, etc.) are prohibited. It is allowed to work behind closed doors and individual training.
  • sports of children and adolescents under 16 years of age are allowed, with the exception of contests, within the limits established by the federal government. Training and competitions in competitive sports are also allowed, provided that the athletes belong to the national team of a sports association (in accordance with the Swiss Olympic requirements) and train individually, in groups of a maximum of 15 people or as permanent competition teams.
  • Allowed are also training and competitions of teams that belong to a league with predominantly professional gaming operations.

Schools:

  • In public and private schools All persons are required to wear a mask on all school grounds, with the exception of:
  • For kindergarten and elementary school students
  • For people who can demonstrate that they cannot wear masks for special reasons, especially medical reasons, other appropriate measures must be taken to protect against infection.
