How Donald Trump Ruined the “Most Important Speech” of His Life
Donald Trump wanted to present the alleged fraud in the US elections in a speech. But it only delivered alleged inconsistencies. Your statements and facts.
Donald Trump does not give up. That is the only message that there is no doubt after his 46 minute presentation. The president recorded a speech at the White House and posted it on social media on Wednesday afternoon (local time).
These are Trump’s most detailed statements since the election a month ago. Once again it concerns your allegations of fraud in counting the ballots.
The current president of the United States begins with these words: “This is perhaps the most important speech I have ever made.” Trump calls the election a “total catastrophe.” It was “statistically impossible” that he would have lost and would only accept a “precise electoral result.”
You can view excerpts from the speech in the video above or here.
Trump’s setbacks
The speech is his attempt to get back on the offensive. On Tuesday, Justice Minister William Barr, who was always loyal to Trump, had to admit that so far he had not encountered any major fraud in the elections. Previously, dozens of lawsuits filed by Trump’s private attorney Rudy Giuliani had been exhausted, and various accounts in various states had only confirmed, rather than changed, the results.
Does Trump now have something new to offer? No, when he appears behind the presidential desk, the electoral activist mainly repeats known and at the same time unproven or even completely refuted accusations about the course of the elections. His speech is permeated with distortions and falsehoods.
Three key statements in fact checking:
Trump sagt …
… on the vote in Wisconsin: “And then at 3:42 in the morning there was this: it was a massive drop in votes. Especially for Biden. Almost anything for Biden. And to this day everyone wonders where that came from. “
And the facts:
The “casting vote” has been clarified a long time ago. At that point on election night, the vote-by-mail count in the capital, Milwaukee, was stopped and reported. The electoral law there did not allow votes to be counted until the day of the elections, which is why it took so long. Biden was ahead in Milwaukee, as in other cities, and particularly in mail-in ballots that Trump had advised his supporters not to cast for months.
Trump sagt …
… on Pennsylvania: “In the districts of Philadelphia and Alliegeny (to which the metropolis of Pittsburgh belongs, editor’s note), large numbers of mail-in ballots were illegally evaluated in secret, without the presence of our election observers. (…) They threw you out of the building. “
And the facts:
Nowhere in Philadelphia have there been incidents where Republicans couldn’t see the count, according to the AP news agency. The disputes mainly revolved around the question of how close they can get to election officials. The Philadelphia count was broadcast live. In one court case, Trump’s lawyers had to admit that his own side had observers in the room.

Trump sagt …
… on Dominion’s voting software: “We have a company that is very suspicious. His name is Dominion. With the flick of a switch … you can push a button for Trump and the vote goes to Biden. (…) We have to go back to paper. “
And the facts:
In the disputed state of Georgia, the first manual recount of ballots produced a result very similar to that of the Dominion scanner. The company’s servers are at the polling station site and not, as Trump claims, in Germany or Venezuela. The authorities responsible for electoral security in the Trump administration had already made it clear in a joint statement: “There is no evidence that any voting system has eliminated or lost or changed votes and has been compromised in any other way.” .
Indeed, there were occasional glitches in the elections, but there is no evidence yet of Trump’s alleged fraud.
Trump announced that he no longer wanted to ask for only recounts, but a “forensic” examination of the postal voting envelopes to verify the signatures. He offered him the possibility of a passage to the Supreme Court. But Trump will not succeed with this as long as he only heats allegations that have long been refuted.
