People are crowded into a gondola in the Davos ski area, Parsenn. Everyone appears to be wearing masks, but nothing from the safe distance can be seen in last Sunday’s video. Recordings of the descent are currently causing controversy on social media platform Tiktok.
Many users are concerned about images. “Well, that’s why it’s forbidden,” writes one. “And then be surprised when it closes,” another. Or: “The next super spreaders.”
But other voices are strong too. “Why are you leaving if it’s a problem?” Someone asks the creator. He responds: “I thought the concepts were better.” In response to BLICK’s question, the Davos Bergbahnen have not yet answered whether the concepts of protection have been met in the present case.
Skiers fear Berset restrictions
Another user says: “Cheer up, you can go skiing. Anyone with a problem can stay home. ”And:“ This is what it looks like every day on public transport. ”Some also think that such videos will lead to restrictions on winter sports.
The Federal Council will have to decide to what extent the ski areas can remain open. To keep the corona virus under control, Health Minister Alain Berset wants to limit winter sports for his part. For the representatives of the mountainous regions, however, the SP Federal Council exceeds its objective.
Among other things, the number of visitors must be restricted: either the ski areas allow a maximum of two-thirds of the number of guests on the most visited day of the previous winter season, or the number of guests is limited to 80 percent of the average of the Christmas holidays in the last five years. The necessary distances must also be strictly observed on the ski lifts. (szm)
