So far, Britain has made mostly negative headlines in the Crown crisis, with the highest death toll in Europe and the worst economic crisis in major industrial nations. Now, however, the UK is becoming the first Western country to approve a corona vaccine for use by the population, which means that the authorities may start immunizing the population next week. The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) announced Wednesday morning that the vaccine from Mainz-based pharmaceutical company Biontech and its US partner Pfizer could receive emergency approval.
