The minutes of the commission meeting as well as confidential information about the candidates and the deliberations had been leaked to the media, the judicial commission justified the criminal complaint in a statement on Wednesday.

While the majority of the commission considered the two candidates suitable, a minority criticized their handling of the difficult situation in the Federal Criminal Court. Therefore, critics want two new candidates. In federal criminal court, the allegations of harassment and intimidation were loud.
For the Federal Administrative Court, the commission proposes that the president and vice presidents of the court, Marianne Ryter (SP) and Vito Valenti (FDP), be confirmed in their offices for the years 2021 and 2022. She is complying with the proposal of this court.
The elections will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
