The Sonnenberg’s well-known restaurant closes. A reopening is planned for next year, maybe.
Freddy Burger Management Group has been looking after the Sonnenberg restaurant for 20 years and is now closing the restaurant in mid-December. The employees had to be laid off, the company writes in a message. In mid-2021, the reopening will be approached in a modified constellation and with a new concept, if circumstances allow.
Reason for closure: Crown. “The absence of events, the lack of festive occasions and the renewed massive drop in the number of guests due to strict restrictions during the second Corona wave made it impossible to maintain the business financially,” the message says. Since the end of the corona pandemic is currently not in sight, no alternative is in sight. (shu)
