The Portuguese will replace Urs Rohner next April. The current head of the Lloyds Group will have to address future problems in Zurich, while contaminated sites continue to plague Credit Suisse, as evidenced again by an expensive legal case in New York.
The Board of Directors of the Credit Suisse Group will propose to shareholders António Horta-Osório for election as Chairman of the Board of Directors at the next Annual General Meeting on April 30, 2021. Credit Suisse announced this on Tuesday. Horta-Osório will replace Urs Rohner, who, as already announced, will resign in 2021 after reaching the regulatory mandate of twelve years. Urs Rohner was elected to the Board of Directors at the 2009 Annual General Meeting, and served as its full-time Vice President before being named President in 2011.
