Once again: thieves break into the safe in the Oberhelfenschwiler parish hall

For the second time in six months, a criminal has entered the Oberhelfenschwil community center. They stole a few hundred francs on the night from Sunday to Monday.

The perpetrators knew exactly where they would find the safe, Mayor Toni Hässig suspects

“If the community staff seem tired tonight, it is not because they were partying all night. They cleaned a lot more because the parish hall had already been raided. ”

The perpetrators reached the youth room via these stairs.

Mayor Toni Hässig of Oberhelfenschwiler briefed the population at the budget citizens’ meeting on Monday evening. Of course, nothing can be said about the perpetrator, but the police would investigate.

Toni Hässig suspects that the perpetrators are the same ones who broke into the parish hall last June. “They came back through the youth room, where they opened the door,” he said. However, compared to last time, they would not have searched all the offices and messed everything up. The thieves would have known exactly where to find the safe.

The path to the rear of the parish hall, where the entrance to the youth room is located, is not illuminated.

Property damage cannot yet be quantified. In view of the fact that all the motion detectors were knocked down, several doors and the safe were broken into, Toni Hässig estimates that the damage is greater than the few hundred francs stolen.
