A woman missing since Saturday was found dead Sunday at lunchtime. The 46-year-old Swiss woman from the canton of Bern had a fatal accident while racing over Saas-Fee VS in the Oberi Schopfen area.
As the Valais cantonal police wrote, the runner apparently slipped while crossing a body of water several meters long below the central station of the Alpin Express and fell down a steep slope some 140 meters deep.
Dogs can pick up tracks
After the missing person was reported, a search flight began. But the woman could not be located. As a result, search dogs that could follow a trail were used. At the same time, a notification was received from a third party. This is how the Bern woman was found.
The prosecution has launched an investigation in cooperation with the Valais canton police. (man)
