(Red) The second vote brought the decision: the city of Wiler remains in the hands of CVP. Hans Mäder, former president of the municipality of Eschliker, succeeds Susanne Hartmann, who was elected to the cantonal government in the spring.

Mäder obtained 4,331 votes, his opponent Dario Sulzer only 2307. Mäder also managed to be elected to the city council, a prerequisite for becoming president of the city.

There is hardly a stone left unturned in the town hall

It was clear that there would be a change in the council. Susanne Hartmann also had to be replaced here. But now there are four new appointments. With Dario Sulzer (SP), only one former member remains in office. Non-partisan Jutta Röösli, Green Daniel Stutz and FDP politician Daniel Meili, who is currently serving even as interim mayor, are removed by vote. In addition to Hans Mäder, FDP politician Jigme Shitsetsang, non-partisan Andreas Breitenmoser and SVP politician Ursula Egli have recently been elected.
