There is joy in the Jungfrau region! The Eiger Express will open on December 5, 2020, the new Jungfrau railways masterpiece that will take guests to the Eiger Glacier in no time. “Our guests can reach Eigergletscher station from the Grindelwald terminal in just 15 minutes,” says Jungfrau Railways Director Urs Kessler. “In a quarter of an hour it rises from 943 meters to 2320 meters.”
The Eiger Express completes the V-Bahn project, which also includes the new Männlichenbahn that opened a year ago, as well as the ultra-modern terminal in Grindelwald with its wide range of business opportunities, from where both trains depart. With these spectacular innovations, guests can reach the ski area and the Jungfraujoch 47 minutes faster from all Swiss cities. The Jungfrau ski region returns to the winter sports Champions League. “The Eiger Express will be very spectacular for both winter and summer tourism,” confirms Kessler.
