Highway drama in Valais: the man wants to help, and in the end he dies himself
The accident begins shortly before seven in the morning on Thursday: a driver loses control of his vehicle on the A9 near Saint-Maurice. It turns on its own axis and stops on the shoulder. An oncoming car stops. The driver and front passenger get out to see if the driver is injured. Since this is not the case, the two of them return to their car.
At the same time, two more drivers lose control of their vehicle in the icy lane and skid, according to the Valais canton police. One of the cars collides with one of the men who previously wanted to help. He dies at the scene of the accident. The deceased is a 53-year-old man from Lower Valais.
