A young woman wants a medical certificate because of a cold and then has to endure an intimate examination.
In chamber 134, the second department of the Zurich District Court sentenced the doctor to a suspended prison sentence of 22 months.

The nearly 18-year-old woman has had a cold, cough, and sore throat for about a week. You go to your GP because you need a medical certificate. As the doctor does not have a free appointment on short notice, a 50-year-old colleague takes care of the young woman in the same consultation. The doctor listens to the lungs with a stethoscope and then turns to the woman’s genital area and says, “And now I’m still examining it there,” first anal, then vaginal.
The incident occurred in autumn 2019. On Wednesday, the doctor had to answer to the Zurich District Court. The doctor said the woman, who also mentioned stomach pain in the preliminary discussion, agreed with the exam. As a result, he decided not to answer the judge’s questions.
