A man (31) attacked a Zurich city police car on Monday morning. He threw a glass bottle at the vehicle, damaged a side window, and then hit a police officer in the face.
The attack occurred while police officers were waiting in their patrol car at a stoplight in District 5. After the man threw a glass bottle at the car, police came out to verify the hit.
Policeman-Bat was released
The attacker approached one of the policemen and hit him hard in the face. In order to arrest the man, more police had to be called because the attacker resisted violently. The policemen also had to use pepper spray.
At the post, the man later confessed. The city police announced Wednesday that the motive for his attack was that he had felt “indescribable anger towards the police.” After questioning, the man was released again. The police officer had to treat his facial injuries on an outpatient basis. (SDA)
