Joe Biden uses his longtime partner, Antony Blinken, for the most important new date. Blinken was already by Biden’s side when he was still on the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee in Washington. He served as its national security adviser from 2009 to 2013, when Biden was vice president to then-President Barack Obama. From 2015 to 2016 he was Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs. Blinken, who grew up partly in Paris, began his career in the State Department during the presidency of Bill Clinton. After leaving the civil service, he co-founded the political strategy consultancy WestExec, among others with the former Under Secretary for Policy at the Pentagon Michèle Flournoy. He is considered a promising candidate for the post of Defense Minister. As a member of the Biden campaign team, Blinken has spoken extensively in recent months about the foreign policy priorities of a Biden administration. He made a strong plea to reinforce foreign policy.
