It happens around 10:30 p.m. on the A51 motorway in the direction of Schaffhausen: At a right turn near the Bülach-West exit, a 19-year-old beginner driver with his black Kawasaki comes off the road and hits the railing of the left.
The young man is seriously injured in the violent accident. Rescue teams take the motorcycle driver to the hospital, but he dies there a little later, according to the Zurich canton police.
Due to the accident, the motorway in the direction of Schaffhausen had to be completely closed for more than three hours and a detour had to be established. (cat)
