ZSC celebrates tremendous victory against Rappi – Biel wins Little Berne derby against SCL Tigers

On a game day when the top 3 teams, Freiburg, Lausanne and Zug, were not in action, the ZSC Lions began to advance. With a 5: 3 over the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, the Zurich team advanced to second place.

ZSC Lions – SCRJ Lakers 5: 3

For 40 minutes, the ZSC Lions and Rapperswil-Jona Lakers provided honest hockey food at the Hallenstadion. In the spectacular final section with five goals, the Zurich team finally had the advantage: the Lions won 5: 3.

Marcus Krüger and Pius Suter gave the ZSC Lions a 2-1 lead until the second break. Last season’s top scorer, Suter, scored the first goal of the season in his second game with the Lions. After 40 minutes, the narrow lead flattered the Lions.

In the end, a different picture was presented: the ZSC Lions now clearly dominated the event, taking the 3-1 and 4-2 lead through Garrett Roe and Justin Sigrist, but were unable to hold off the Lakers. Roman Cervenka and double scorer Steve Moses narrowly missed the 4: 4 tie twice in the final for the Lakers. Just a fraction of a second before the final siren, Denis Hollenstein secured the Lions’ victory with a shot at the empty goal.

Biel – SCL Tigres 4: 1

The summit of the Bern crisis between Biel (10th) and Langnau (11th) ended with a clear success of 4: 1 for the Zenians. The people of Biel are slowly gaining momentum.

The decision was made in the second section. Luca Cunti (23rd) and Toni Rajala (25th) gave Biel a 2-0 lead in 124 seconds. Marc-Antoine Pouliot rose in the 38th minute with the second overpaid goal to 3-0. Rajala and Pouliot (both -9) are two of Biel’s four players (along with Yannick Rathgeb and Beat Forster at -10 each) currently at the bottom of the league’s over / under stats.

Forster is also slowly gaining momentum. In the second section he scored another goal, like the night before in Freiburg, but it was disallowed because Damien Brunner had previously run into offside.

Damian Stettler, 19, made his National League debut with the SCL Tigers. At the start of the second leg he had to guard the gate for Ivars Punnenovs for 133 seconds, who returned late from the third break on the ice. Stettler made the first four shots in his case, but then conceded 0: 1 when he was outnumbered.

Ambri – Towel 2: 1

HC Ambri-Piotta celebrated half of their victories this season against the best team Servette. The 3-2 win in Geneva in mid-October was followed by a 2-1 home win on Saturday. Servette lost two games in a row for the first time this season.

Penalties showed the Genève-Servette Hockey Club the way to defeat. The guests conceded the first goal with four against four outfield players; at 0: 2 Eric Fehr was in the penalty area. Servette played too undisciplined in this decisive phase. Between minutes 18 and 40, the Geneva team received 33 minutes of penalty; they played half of the second section outnumbered.

At Ambri, 23-year-old Finn Julius Nättinen shone once again, first as Michael Foras 1-0 setter, then as 2-0 executor. In his first ten games in the National League, Nättinen accumulated 12 goals and 2 assists.

Servette only lived up to her favorite role in the end. The rebellion came too late: after Roger Karrer’s follow-up target, the course change was no longer successful.

The Lord of Chaos – Willi Vögtlin’s New Accessories

The chaos in ice hockey has never been greater. Now the general schedule Willi Vögtlin is working on a completely new schedule. And the old saying “now turn 13” may well be honored again.

The anecdote is guaranteed. General Game Plan Willi Vögtlin is a full-time merchant of delicious wines. When you deliver fine grape juice to your customers, you sometimes plan your route to be in the right place at night to watch a game on site. He recently traveled to Zurich. And only a short time on the site did he realize that he had already postponed the ZSC Lions game he wanted to see. When asked, he admits something sullen: “Yes, it was something like that …”

Since …
