Back to skiing in Levi: Mikaela Shiffrin explains the tears

Actually, Mikaela Shiffrin wanted to be cool. But then this: already after the first race at Levi, he has tears in his eyes. “I really didn’t want to let my emotions get to me. But I’m happy to be back, ”says the 25-year-old. Needless to say, Shiffrin is thinking of her father Jeff († 65), who died in February, right now.

After a 300-day break from racing, Shiffrin took a very strong second place, despite a few practice sessions and a setback. “I had a really good feeling on the skis,” he says. Shiffrin may well win again soon. Because: with his return you don’t have the feeling that he would risk everything.
