A mountain biker has been missing in Aesch BL since Friday afternoon. During a police search, the 59-year-old man was found seriously injured.
Thanks to a large-scale search, the Basel-Landschaft police were able to find a mountain biker who had been missing since Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon. The man was found seriously injured near Hochwald.
The 59-year-old man was reported missing by family members in the Aesch BL area on Friday afternoon. According to the first findings of the Basel-Landschaft police, the mountain biker was in the Dornach-Hochwald area on Friday afternoon and crashed for reasons that have yet to be explained.
After the missing person was reported, the police launched a major search in the Aesch area. There was also a helicopter operation early Saturday morning and personal detection dogs were being used, according to the press release. Several dozen emergency services participated in the search.
The mountain biker was finally found alive near Hochwald. Rega flew him to a hospital with serious injuries.
