In a car accident on a snow-covered street in Muotathal SZ, a 21-year-old driver was seriously injured on Friday night.
The car had flipped over several times and came to a halt on the roof.
The accident occurred after 7:00 p.m. in the Kreuzbühl area, as announced by the police of the canton of Schwyz on Saturday. The driver had come to the side of the snowy road and the vehicle rolled several times on the sloping edge: it finally stopped after about 100 meters on the roof.
The trapped and seriously injured driver had to be rescued by firefighters. After first aid from the rescue service, he was transferred to a hospital on the outskirts of the canton in a helicopter from the Swiss air rescue service.
