A good number of car drivers met their tuned cars on Sunday in the Reinach / Menziken and Aarburg / Oftringen areas at the well-known hotspots. As reported by the cantonal police, specific controls were carried out there.
Mobile police were the first to arrest a 22-year-old driver who repeatedly let out a roar from the exhaust of his Renault Megan RS as he drove through the roundabout. During the subsequent check several unauthorized changes were found.
The same thing happened to a 22-year-old car driver with her Ford Mustang: there was a tampering with the central silencer. The 27-year-old Chevrolet Camaro SS also had several unauthorized changes.
Continue on foot
The three car drivers had to park their vehicles with the mobile police in Schafisheim and continue on foot, as the police say. A 21-year-old driver who was also making unauthorized changes to his Chevrolet Camaro Coupe could already be arrested on Saturday. This vehicle was also impounded. All the drivers have been reported.
Also reported were the driver of a lowered Alfa Romeo 4C and the driver of a Mercedes AMG, who was driving his car in Sport + mode and therefore making unnecessary noise. However, they were both allowed to continue.
