In recent years he has been the undisputed star of the cross-country skiing scene. Norwegian Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo (24) won gold three times at the last Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang in 2018 (sprint, team sprint, relay) and became world champion in the same disciplines at Seefeld the following year. In the 2018/19 season, he also triumphed in the Tour de Ski. The 24-year-old has replaced Norwegian “old stars” Petter Northug (34) and Martin Johnsrud Sundby (36) at the top of cross-country skiing.
