First, employees must be symptom-free, and second, when in close contact with patients or colleagues (less than 1.5 meters), they must wear a surgical mask and strictly observe hand hygiene.

In private, caregivers must remain in quarantine
The cantonal doctor refers to the recommendations of the National Center for Infection Prevention. In a document dated October 23, recommendations are made for (supposedly) Covid-19 positive employees. Under the item “Relative shortage of personnel” it says: “If the general condition allows it (mild symptoms, no fever or cough), it is possible to continue working”. Even nurses who tested positive and do not feel ill can return to work after 48 hours of isolation.
Hummel emphasizes that quarantine relief only applies during work hours. In private, staff must continue to comply with the measures.
