In addition to the test center and hospital, also with general practitioners: Solothurn residents can take the crown test here – Canton (Solothurn) – Solothurn

As everywhere in Switzerland, the number of infections is also increasing significantly in the canton of Solothurn. “To prevent further spread, the chains of infection must be interrupted as soon as possible,” the canton writes in a press release. In addition to efficient contact tracing, as little access to testing options as possible is important.

That is why the cantonal medical service has developed a comprehensive testing concept over the past months, which is constantly being developed. “This is to ensure that the various medical actors – hospitals, private clinics, basic providers, mobile emergency teams – are integrated into a coordinated overall strategy and have sufficient testing capabilities.”

Family doctors included

According to the canton, the strategy is decentralized and also includes general practitioners and pediatricians in basic care. This is to ensure that not only is there sufficient testing capacity at all times in the canton of Solothurn, but also that medical care is guaranteed during the winter months.

The new testing strategy only works “if symptomatic people can be evaluated immediately,” the canton writes. The Corona check from the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) is a good indication of when to test.

The following test options are available in Canton Solothurn:

  • Solothurner Spitäler AG (soH) operates two test centers in Olten and Solothurn. At the SoH location in Dornach, there is an emergency room deal.
  • Decentralized Outpatient Test Stations
  • Established Family Physician or Pediatrician Practices

Many resident physicians also offer tests, but often only for their own patients. You can find a selection here.

The two mobile teams east-west and north are also deployed.

The social media campaign aims to make testing options better known

To make the test locations known to a wider audience, the Canton of Solothurn is also launching a social media campaign on Facebook and Instagram. The campaign provides information on the various trial options and at the same time reminds you that the trial is free if indicated according to the BAG verification. However, the canton notes that, strictly speaking, this is only the case for a recommended test indication. (sks)
