German Health Minister Jens Spahn is confident that he will be able to start vaccinating against the coronavirus this year. This is reported by the newspaper “Bild”. In accordance with this, the Health Ministry this week asked state governments to provide addresses of vaccination centers before November 10 (online report behind the payment barrier).
60 such centers should be created, which would then be equipped with powerful cooling devices necessary for the vaccine, which are lacking in many medical practices.
Biontech shortly before approval?
Earlier in the week, Spahn told a video conference by health ministers that Mainz’s Biontech company was about to approve a vaccine, the newspaper writes, citing conference participants.
Spahn believes that the first vaccinations may begin before the end of the year. (SDA)
