In the canton of Lucerne, the number of new infections increased by 164 cases from Monday to Tuesday. That’s more than ever since the start of the second wave in 24 hours. 25 people are hospitalized, seven more than the day before.
The canton of Zug reported 52 new confirmed cases on Tuesday morning. Since the pandemic began, 1,014 people have tested positive, up from 962 on Monday.
In the canton of Schwyz, the number of corona cases continues to increase considerably. The number of people who tested positive for the virus increased by 90 from Monday to Tuesday to 1686. Three infected people died.
There are 66 people in the canton of Uri who have tested positive for the corona virus (as of October 20: 9:30 am). One person is in the hospital. 670 people are in quarantine, 69 of them for a return trip from a risk zone.
