After a few days in the snow, the Schwyzerin feels ready for the first race of the season on the Rettenbach Glacier.

The time was short, but it was enough: just 6 weeks after her training accident in Saas-Fee, Wendy Holdener will start the season on Saturday in Sölden. The Schwyzerin announced this after “a few good days of training” at Diavolezza.

In early September, the 27-year-old had an undisplaced fracture of the head of the fibula.

Green light from the doctors

This Monday, Holdener received the green light from doctors to put on his skis again. She did it immediately. Then the strongest and most consistent Swiss giant slalom rider in recent years said: “I feel good. The team and I have decided together that I will start in Sölden. I’m very happy about that. “

The other Swiss starters for Saturday’s giant slalom were already decided. They are Michelle Gisin, Lara Gut-Behrami, Andrea Ellenberger, Corinne Suter, Camille Rast and Priska Nufer.
