Health directors propose specific measures

The number of infections in eastern Switzerland has risen again considerably in recent weeks. Increasing cases of corona are also counted in Graubünden and Glarus. To combat the pandemic, the health directors of the eastern cantons of Switzerland agreed to uniform measures that they will propose to their respective governments, according to a communication. Including the governments of Graubünden and Glarus. This should better coordinate measurements and avoid a patchwork quilt, as they say.

The health directors have specifically agreed to the following points:

  • Protective masks are required at public and private events with a number of 30 or more participants.
  • Prohibition of dancing, but do not close clubs and party halls.
  • Consumption in restaurants must be done in a fixed seat.
  • The cantons decide autonomously the general obligation to wear protective masks in interior areas of public access.

These proposals will now be submitted to individual cantonal governments. They are free to decide on different measures depending on the epidemiological situation, as they say. The government of the canton of Graubünden will report on the next steps tomorrow, Friday at 10 am (drunk)
