Bad news for Aline Danioth: The tech specialist suffered another knee injury after a fall.
Aline Danioth has seriously injured her right knee again. The 22-year-old fell during slalom training at the Diavolezza, her coach confirmed to SRF. The diagnosis is still pending, but the cruciate ligament is said to be affected again. According to female head coach Beat Tschuor, Urner was first transferred to a clinic in St. Moritz, but now the team doctor in Zurich will show him the exact extent of the injury.
Injury during return
The technique was returning to the World Cup after a serious knee injury last season when the cruciate ligament was torn in Sestriere’s parallel giant slalom. For the former junior world champion it is the fifth serious injury in 4 years.
