Contract until 2022 – Kasami strengthens FC Basel – Sport

• Basel sign Pajtim Kasami for 2 seasons.
• The 28-year-old was under contract with FC Sion until August 2020.

FC Basel has struck again in the transfer market: Pajtim Kasami moves to the knee of the Rhine with immediate effect. The 28-year-old midfielder was signed by FC Sion from August 2017 to August 2020. However, the contract in Valais was not extended.

Kasami, a 12-time Swiss international, brings a lot of experience to Basel. His professional positions include Bellinzona, Palermo, Fulham, Lucerne, Nottingham Forest, Olympiacos Piraeus and, most recently, Sion. In Greece, Kasami won the championship twice (2015, 2016).

“I have always especially liked FCB and I see great potential here, which is why FCB was the only possible new employer for me in Switzerland,” Kasami is quoted in the press release.
