Aargau: In the canton special measures are in force for bars and discos. The presence of more than 100 people at the same time is not allowed. The mask requirement does not apply in schools and kindergartens, nor at bank counters and in the training area of sports facilities and fitness clubs. Freiburg: Since the end of August you have to wear a mask when entering a store. Personnel can also be protected by other measures, such as a Plexiglass panel. The mask is mandatory for employees of catering establishments. You have to show your ID in bars and clubs. No more than 300 people are allowed at events, although exceptions can be made on request.
Geneva: Also in Geneva it is mandatory to wear masks in shops, restaurants and bars. Also, you can only eat and drink sitting down. The clubs have been closed since the end of July. No more than 100 people per sector may be present at public events. Only more than 100 people can participate in private events, as long as they wear a mask or keep their distance. Providing contact details is essential in any way.
Glarus: At Glarus there are currently protective measures that go beyond federal instructions.
Grisons: There are no specific protection measures in the canton.
Swear: In the Jura, wearing a mask is mandatory in stores since the beginning of July.
Lucerne: No more than 100 people per sector may be present at events or in restaurants, bars and nightclubs. As a guest, you must also provide your contact details. In at least one fifth, companies must check if the information is really correct.
Neuenburg: Anyone planning a private event in Neuchâtel with more than 30 people must register it in the canton at least five days in advance. Bars and clubs should also verify the contact details of the guests.
Nidwalden: There are no special measures in the canton.
Obwalden: Obwalden has also not ordered more protective measures.
Schaffhausen: Anyone who wants to go to a bar or club in Schaffhausen must show their identification.
Schwyz: The canton asks its inhabitants to strictly follow the rules of conduct and hygiene measures established in the federal campaign “This is how we protect ourselves.” There are no other measures.
Solothurn: From September 3, it is mandatory to wear a mask in the shops and malls of Solothurn. If you can’t keep your distance, you can only entertain a maximum of 100 guests in bars and clubs. Contact details must be collected and verified. This also applies to private events like weddings and other celebrations.
St. Gallen: The canton of St. Gallen recently reacted to the increase in crown numbers. Now it forces clubs and bars to record the contact details of the guests and check that they are correct. The mask requirement is not yet an issue, but the canton recommends that secondary schools and vocational schools have a limited mask requirement for hallways, restrooms, and other high-traffic rooms.
Tessin: Ticino is also tightening its screws: as of Friday, October 9, clubs, discos and dance halls will be closed. As of October 10, masks are mandatory in stores and shopping centers. Other measures affect restaurants: your guests can only consume while seated. Surgical masks are mandatory for restaurant staff. The canton already had very strict measures: for example, crowds of more than 30 people were prohibited in public spaces. After 6pm, only 100 people are allowed in bars and clubs. Additionally, hosts must collect and monitor contact details.
Thurgau: Thurgau knows only one measure that goes beyond hygiene rules: Clubs and bars have had to record guests’ contact details since August.
Hate: In Uri there are no other measures apart from the concepts of protection of the industries and the general rules of hygiene and behavior, maintaining distance and washing hands.
Waadt: Clubs and discos are closed in Vaud from September 17. Private events with more than 100 participants are also prohibited; masks and registration of contact details are required for 50 or more people. A mask is required in all public access rooms, that is, in shops, but also in museums and schools. In restaurants, it is only allowed to eat sitting down, contact details must also be recorded here; the latter also applies to churches.
Wallis: In Valais, masks are required in all stores. Also, only 100 people are allowed in bars and clubs after 8pm
Zug: The canton of Zug has tightened the screw. As of Saturday, October 10, the masks will be mandatory in stores and shopping centers. This is in addition to the existing mask requirement for hairdressers etc. In restaurants, staff must now wear masks. For a long time, a maximum of 100 guests have been allowed to simultaneously be present in bars, clubs and discos, also having to provide their contact details, which are also verified.
Zurich: Masks are required in stores, shopping malls, and indoor markets. In restaurants and bars, on the other hand, this is not the case, but there, guests must provide their contact details. In addition, a maximum of 300 people is allowed in clubs, bars and restaurants. If there are more than 100 people inside, they must wear a mask. Special rules also apply in the sex trade: prostitutes must register and verify the contact details of their clients. Stronger measures are in force in the city of Zurich. You have to wear masks there when you go to the administration, in the sports facilities (also in the indoor swimming pools, even the cloakroom), in the schools (adults only) and in the museums of the city.
